Strawberry Pound Cake

1 c. chopped strawberries
3/ c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. whipped topping


Combine strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar. Combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add combined strawberry mixture, butter and eggs; mixing just until moistened. Fold in 1 1/2 cups whipped topping. Pour into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool.
