Plum Pie

6 to 8 medium size plums, halved
about 1 cup brown sugar
4 to 6 tbs unsalted butter
cinnamon to taste
one 9" pie or tart shell, partially baked


Arrange the plums in the pie shell cut side up - they should be crowded together. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon then dot with butter. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until the plums are soft and the top is bubbling. Cool to room temperature before serving with whipped cream.
