Peach Crumble
8 ripe peaches, pitted and slicedjuice of 1 lemon
large pinch of ground cinnamon
large pinch of fresh grated nutmeg
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c. unsalted butter, chilled and cut into pieces
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
heavy cream (optional)
Preheat oven to 375*. Arrange peach slices in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. With fingers, crumble butter into flour mixture. Stir in oats and sprinkle mixture on top of peaches. Bake until soft and topping is browned, about 25min. Serve warm with fresh or whipped cream.
