Kahlua Chocolate Squares
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1/4 cup plus 1 TBS Kahlua
1 cup semi-sweet choclate pieces
Brown Butter Icing
Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease 11X7-inch baking pan.
Combine flour with baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar; beat in egg. Stir in 1/4 cup Kahlua, then flour mixture; blend well. Fold in chocolate pieces. Spread batter in prepared pan.
Bake 30 minutes or until top springs back when toughed lightly in center. Do not overbake. Remove from oven; cool in pan 15 minutes. Brush top with remaining 1 TBS Kahlua. Cool completely; frost with Brown Butter Icing. When icing is set, cut into bars.
In saucepan, heat 2 TBS butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat. Add 1 TBS Kahlua, 2 tsp milk and 1 1/3 cups sifted powdered sugar; beat until smooth.
