Gram's Triple Berry Cornmeal Cobbler

1 pint blueberries
1 pint raspberries
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced in half
1/2 c. sugar
3Tb cornstarch

Topping:
1/3c. sugar
1/4c. butter, rm temp
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2/3c. flour
1/3c. yellow cornmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4c. milk


Toss berries to coat with cornstarch. Spoon berry mixture into ungreased 8"x8"x2" square pan. Spread evenly.

Topping: Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy about 3 minutes. beat in egg and vanilla until well blended. Mix together flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Add 1/2 flour mixture to butter beat until just combined. Beat in milk then remaining flour mixture. Drop dough by large spoonfuls over the berry mixture.

Bake @ 350* for 1hr 20 min or until top is golden and fruit is bubbly. Serve warm.
