Moroccan Chicken & Lentils

3-4 carrots, peeled & cut into chunks
1 1/2 cups lentils (dry, straight out of the bag)
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 to 1 1/2 lb chicken
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cans (14 1/2 oz) chicken broth

Put all ingredients in the crockpot in the order listed. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low 5-6 hours, depending on whether you use boneless or bone-in chicken. If you use frozen chicken, add about another hour.
