Sweet & Tangy Chicken
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves1 Tb oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. brown sugar
1c. soy sauce
1c. chicken broth
2T lemon juice
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4c. cornstarch
1/2c. water
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add Chicken and brown on both sides. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Put in crockpot. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients except cornstarch & water. Pour over chicken. Cover, cook on low 7-9hrs or high 3-4 hrs.
When done, remove chicken and turn crockpot to high; cover. Combine cornstarch and water. Stir into liquid in CP. Place cover slightly ajar on CP. Cook until thickened (15-30min)
